The Orange Drizzle Loaf is a bright and uplifting treat that brings a burst of citrus flavor to every bite. Ingredients
For The Loaf:
125g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
100g granulated sugar
2 large eggs
60ml vegetable oil
60ml orange juice (freshly squeezed)
1 tbsp orange zest
1 tsp vanilla extract
For The Drizzle:
50g powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp orange juice (adjust for desired consistency)
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a small loaf pan (about 18×9 cm).
Step 2: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3: In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4: Add oil, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Step 5: Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined — do not overmix.
Step 6: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Step 7: Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 8: While the loaf is still warm, mix powdered sugar and orange juice to make the glaze.
Step 9: Drizzle the glaze over the loaf and let it soak in as the cake cools.
